about Sophie Dobrigkeit
Sophie Dobrigkeit is a graphic designer with a focus on typography and illustration.
In 2000 she opened the studio visual activities/Dobrigkeit Design in Frankfurt/Germany and was part of the association aspekt1/MESO.
Her work ranges from print and screen design for clients to selfinitiated typographic and illustrative projects.
In 2001 she founded the research group Ougrapo (ouvroir du design graphique potentiel) together with Ulrike Gauder and Sigrid Ortwein. The experimental work of Ougrapo is focused on methodologies and constraints and resulted in posters, books, objects and lectures.
Since 2003 Sophie Dobrigkeit teaches typography and graphic design at the University of Applied Sciences, Mainz/Germany.
Sophie Dobrigkeit has a degree in communication design from the Offenbach Academy of Art and Design and a MFA in graphic design from the California Institute of the Arts.
